About

Hi!  I’m Rachel.  I am a Christian, social worker, and writer living in Tennessee.  I’m just trying to stay curious and write a few stories along the way of life.

Virginia Woolf once wrote in her journal, “What sort of diary should I like mine to be? Something loose knit and yet not slovenly, so elastic that it will embrace anything, solemn, slight or beautiful that comes into my mind. I should like it to resemble some deep old desk, or capacious hold-all, in which one flings a mass of odds and ends without looking them through.” That pretty well sums up what kind of blog I’m slowly (too slowly perhaps) creating. Nicheless is the word used today in the blogging world. Much like Virginia Woolf’s journal, I want the blog to “resemble some deep old desk” where I fling musings on what I’m currently reading, pondering over faith, gardening, or any other “odds and ends” which may find themselves in the old desk.
